EDITH'S WHITE CLIFF CAKE

1 cup butter
2 cups sugar
3 cups self-rising flour
4 eggs, separated
1 cup milk
1 tsp vanilla

Mix all ingredients together except egg whites.  Beat in egg whites at the end.  Put in pan and bake at 350 for 30-35 minutes.  (I baked at 325 for dark/coated pans at 325)
