MELISSA’S BANANA SOUR CREAM CAKE

1 YELLOW CAKE MIX ( 2 LAYER SIZE )
3 EGGS
1 CUP MASHED BANANAS ( APPROX 3 )
1 CUP SOUR CREAM
1/4 CUP OIL

1 STICK BUTTER, SOFTENED ( 1/2 CUP )
1- 8 OUNCE PACKAGE CREAM CHEESE, SOFTENED
1 POUND CONFECTIONERS SUGAR
2 TEASPOONS VANILLA
1 CUP CHOPPED WALNUTS

PREHEAT OVEN TO 350. GREASE AND FLOUR ONE 3X9 INCH PAN AND SET ASIDE.
BEAT THE CAKE MIX, EGGS, BANANAS,SOUR CREAM AND OIL TOGETHER, SCRAPING THE SIDES OFTEN UNTIL WELL MIXED,
POUR INTO THE PREPARED PAN AND BAKE FOR 35 MINUTES. OR UNTIL A TOOTHPICK
COMES OUT CLEAN. COOL COMPLETELY.

BEAT THE BUTTER, CREAM CHEESE, POWDERED SUGAR AND VANILLA TOGETHER UNTIL SMOOTH AND FLUFFY.

REMOVE THE CAKE FROM THE PAN AND CUT IN HALF CROSSWISE. PLACE ONE HALF TOP SIDE DOWN ON A PLATE. FROST WITH CREAM CHEESE FROSTING. PLACE THE OTHER HALF TOP SIDE UP AND FINISH FROSTING. PRESS WALNUTS INTO FROSTING.
